WinterFest Barrie

The City of Barrie proudly presents Winterfest 2017, one of the Top 100 Festivals & Events in Ontario!

Grab your mittens and celebrate winter with us on February 4th & 5th beginning at 10:00am to in Heritage Park in Downtown Barrie. This great family event includes Polar Bear Swim, Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides, Dogsled Rides, Lumberjack Show, Ice Maze and much more! Click here for a full schedule.

Saturday, 10am–5pm & Sunday, 10am–4pm

  • Horse-drawn wagon rides – Supported by HGS Canada
  • Dog sled rides ($2 per person, weather permitting, Sat 10am-3pm)
  • Snow Valley’s mini tube slide
  • Simcoe County Museum
  • BodyZorbs – Supported by Closing the Gap Healthcare Group
  • Helicopter rides ($50 per person)
  • Dog cart rides (Saturday only, 10am–3pm)
  • Scouts winter cookout ($)
  • Variety of food vendors ($)
  • Bonfire
  • Ice maze
  • Top-shot hockey – Supported by Hampton Inn by Hilton Barrie
  • Mini golf and curling
  • Winter midway ($)

Get out of the cold for awhile and warm up. Indoor activities include: February Blues Festival, Reel Stories Mini Film Festival, Tours and Family Fun at the MacLaren Art Centre, Skating at the Barrie Arenas and Storytime and Crafts at the Barrie Public Library.
