Downtown Barrie has plenty of fun – and romance – to offer. Build a day full of fun but relaxing activities for you and your s/o. Check out Barrie’s free outdoor skating rink, the Circle in the Square (City Hall) at 70 Collier Street. The summer fountain that normally lies here is transformed into a circular skating rink in the winter months. Equipped with heated change rooms, a Zamboni, and nearby parking, skating is a great way to start your romantic day. One of Barrie’s favourite places for a cup of tea is english&miller. Warm up after your skate and enjoy afternoon tea and treats (for high tea, you must book in advance). Check out their gift shop and gallery too. The MacLaren Art Centre is just a few steps away. Here, you can continue your fun and relaxation by walking through the gallery and viewing the amazing exhibitions that they are currently showing (Carl Beam, Norval Morrisseau, Reading the Talk, Robert Houle, and more). Find what you love in Downtown Barrie.
